The spirit of mammon works through Worldly Equity

The world is always speaking about equity. That is, equity according to its vile, fleshly, earthly standards. The equity the world gives is not the equity God gives. The world thinks equity as equality in material things, whether it be in access to education, possession, ability to purchase a house, pay, or any other earthly thing. It complains whenever it has less earthly thing than others out of its envy.

However, since the world worships mammon, of course, it cannot see that this is envy. Rather, it thinks it to be justice and fairness because, it is blinded by its own lust of the flesh and pride of life, thinking that fighting for such earthly 'equity' is justifiable, and noble. The spirit of mammon works to blind the world into thinking that its envy for the greater access to material things is justifiable, and the desire for justice. Such is the wicked world, which seeks for "equality", a doctrine of demons, one of envy, lust of the flesh and pride. James 4:2 describes such lusts which lead to hatred, fighting and warring: "Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not".

It is the desire for so-called 'justice' in terms of having equal access to material things as others itself, which is the manifestation of the spirit of mammon working through those who think it is equality, fairness and justice. Even many true converts in the west, a culture given over to satan, are influenced by such evil thinking of those in the culture around them that they buy into the modern, western doctrine of "equality".  The western Christian needs to realise that there are no such thing as "rights" for God does not give 'rights'. All things He gives are out of grace, and grace alone. To claim they are rights to be blaspheme Him.

Such fleshly lusts lead to warring, conflict and hatred of others as James 4:2 makes it clear. You may think that it is a matter of seeking "justice", but no, it is not justice at all, but envy, covetousness and pride. Such a quest for "justice" to equal access to earthly things is itself hatred of those who have more than oneself.  This is precisely the foundation of the modern legal system in the west: false "justice", defined as having equal access to earthly things, devoid of all forgiveness, full of materialistic legalism, justifying the crimes of those who are "oppressed", on the basis of their 'marginalised' status, and favouring those who have more money. This is the manifestation of all envy, false sympathy towards those who are regarded as having less access to earthly material "equity", covetousness and legalism.

It is precisely because of the demand for worldly equity, called 'equality', that all conflicts, wars and divisions between different people 'groups' occurs. That is why the west is full of class warfare, battle of the sexes and inverse racism. This occurs as a result of false humanistic sympathy towards those who (allegedly) have lower access to material earthly things, fought against in the name of 'justice' and 'fairness'.

True equity comes not from the world, but from God and Him alone, as true equity only comes from true peace which only God can give (John 14:27).

The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips: he walked with me in peace and equity, and did turn many away from iniquity (Malachi 2:6).

Signs of a Person under the spirit of mammon

Both the unsaved and saved can be under the spirit of mammon. Do not be deceived! An unsaved person can only serve mammon because it is not part of his nature to submit to God in any way (Romans 8:7). However, the Christian can most definitely yield to the temptations of mammon just as he can yield to the temptations of satan. This is what is means for a Christian to be under the spirit of mammon. The signs of a person being under the spirit of mammon are: The person does not understand the spirit of mammon. This is because he or she is blinded by it and therefore cannot see it. The person reacts whenever being confronted with being told that they are under the spirit of mammon, or being told that they may be under it. This is not the person themselves reacting, but the spirit of mammon reacting. The person is self-satisfied with the abundance that they have. This is especially the case with many Christians today. They are happy with having a family, a well-paying job, security

Two types of contentment

The world seeks contentment. It seeks to be contented in pursuit of all kinds of things, whether it be money, health, wealth, romance, sex, careers or family. It does not necessarily seek after riches to be content. However, that one does not seek after money as the first priority, but other things that are typically associated with good traditional values, such as family, does not in any way mean that one is content in the godly sense. By no means! A person can be a "conservative" and "religious" but just as earthly as the "liberal". There are two types of contentment: earthly contentment and godly contentment. Earthly contentment finds its fulfillment and satisfaction in things that are passing away, not necessarily money, but also things like family, education and children. Yes, that's right. Many professing American Christians think that they could never be under the spirit of mammon because they care for their families and love their families, a

The spirit behind Debt, the spirit of Mammon, seeks to Blind, Control, Enslave and Dominate by debt

Many people just cannot understand what usury is for what it is. Thus, in order for people to understand what exactly usury is, they must be made to understand debt first. Debt is not merely money to be repaid. It has power. Debt indeed is power, which comes from a source not from God: For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12).  One can discern that debt has a power behind it if one uses one's godly discernment. Debt brings spiritual bondage to a person, not merely financial bondage, but spiritual bondage. The real issue with debt for all people whether unsaved or saved is that it keeps people from fully serving God. It is a spiritual stronghold of mammon that panders to the flesh, to make a God-hater even more hostile against God, by feeding on his flesh to increase its appetite even more. It is also a spiritual stronghold
