Ecclesiastes is a book that has the effect of making one wiser and sharper by just reading it. The book of Ecclesiastes make it very clear at as long as the purpose of what one does is not to draw closer to God, it is vanity. Vanities of vanities. For all will die one day and be returned to dust, before one knows it. Many will die much sooner than they thought they would. Most people will die unpredictably. No one can no for certain when one will die, but all know that all will die.
Thus, the question for each person is: where will you be when you die, or rather, what will you face? Will you face eternal Damnation in Hell because you died in your sins, seeking not first the Kingdom of God, but sought other things before the Kingdom of God? Jesus said "Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able" (Luke 13:24). The word strive comes from a Greek word which means to 'agonise'. A life of following Christ alone, the true Christ, that is, is a pilgrim's progress. The person must agonise to enter through the narrow gate, which path is narrow (Matthew 7:13). The person must face many trials, tribulations, suffering, temptations, persecutions, discouragement, hindrances, barriers to stop one from serving God and especially in carrying out the Great Commission.
Not only is the gate narrow, but the path is narrow. As such, another common objection against the Christian faith is that is is 'narrow'. Yes, it is narrow, but rightly so for Jesus is "the Way, the Truth and the Life", the only way to the Father, the only one who can atone for sins of each person (John 14:6). If one thinks Christians are 'narrow-minded', that is their own problem, because the true Christian is rightly narrow-minded about what is right in the sense that what is right is right, and what is wrong is wrong. He should have no regard for what others think about this for to have regard for this is out of fear of man which is a snare (Proverbs 29:25). God will not help a person who fears man, because fearing man is an insult and a curse to God. It itself is an attack on God's character, implying that He cannot be trusted. The evangelist who fears man and builds his theology of evangelism on this fear is a fool, for he builds his house on sand in this area of the true Christian life.
What really matters is not what the world thinks, or what one thinks. What truly matters is not only whether one is made right with God, but whether one lives a life that is fruitful in serving, seeking and knowing God. This is because God created each and every single human to serve Him (Ecclesiastes 12). Only by serving and seeking the true living God will one life one's life fruitfully, and have true value. A life that does not seek God has no value whatsoever. It is a tragic waste. Such is tragedy of tragedies.
The unsaved think that they are entitled to all the undeserved privileges, that is, things that one has absolutely no moral right to. It thinks that all the undeserved privileges such as education, romantic relationships, careers and luxury possessions are "rights" in its wicked, vile carnality. It values a person's 'independence' in obtaining these things, only to find it is all a waste when one nears the end of one's life, and only to die and face God's Wrath, with Eternal Hell as the only place where one will be. What tragedy of tragedies! Such is the end of he who seeks not God, but chooses instead to serve earthly things, earthly aspiration, and earthly causes - the spirit behind it is mammon.
The world not only thinks it is entitled to all undeserved privileges, including one's very breath. It thinks that is should impose its self-entitlement onto others. This is the spirit of humanism. The spirit behind this is the spirit of liberalism - one of the most evil ideologies in the world, the ideology that has caused most social ills.
Liberalism is the cause of most social ills in the world, those who promote it will be held among the most responsible for all the evils in the world in the Day of Judgement. It is the cause, not a mere facilitator because it teaches that not only it is good to live by the flesh, but that it is moral to do so. As such, it imposes on all people through liberal systems, socially, culturally and therefore economically, its standards of (im)morality, fleshly living and fleshly vile wicked thinking. Mark my words.

You will burn in Hell just on the grounds of being liberal, just as people of false religions will burn in Hell just on the grounds of believing in damnable blasphemous heresies.

It is the ultimate form of humanism, and hence the most mammonised one because the human flesh can do nothing but serve mammon. It is absolutely controlled by a desire to serve itself, satisfy itself and to increase its insatiable appetite. Indeed, Proverbs 27:20 states that "Hell and destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied." This is not only referring to sexual lusts. It is referring to all lusts of the eyes, whether it be for power, money, careers, or comfort.
All lust of the flesh starts from lust of the eyes, which desires that which one sees with one's senses. This lust of the eyes then feeds on the lust of the flesh which comes from the heart. Lust of the eyes thrives on the external, while lust of the flesh thrives on the internal. Neither are limited to only sexual lusts, but all kinds. Where does it indicate in the Bible that lust of the eyes and lust of the flesh are only sexual? Where?
The poor in this world have no basic material stability or security. It is because of this that they are despised by the world for the "the wicked in his pride doth persecute the poor" (Psalm 10:2). The wicked persecute the poor in their pride because it feeds on their insatiable lust of the flesh and pride of life, that which is never satisfied like Hell and Damnation (Proverbs 27:20).
The liberal may outwardly seem to "love" the poor, but he really does not. He cannot love others for he is hostile against God (Romans 8:7) and has not the love of God in him (1 John 4:8). It puffs up their pride to persecute the poor which is the reason why the world not only hates the poor, but loves to hate the poor. Hating the poor and oppressing the poor is a satisfying desire to this vile, wicked, evil, Hell-deserving world.
Yet, the whole world knows that everything they accumulate on earth will be taken away from them. They know that as they came into the world with nothing, they will leave the world with nothing. Such is he who serves not God, striving to feed his flesh, never to satisfy it and burn in Hell for an Eternity. This is tragedy of tragedies.
