The existence of the poor, that is, those who are oppressed, and bullied by others with greater access to earthly security is itself an indictment of a wicked, vile world. Just as war is an indictment of a wicked, vile world, the existence of the poor, not a lower access to material things, but the oppressed and bullied people who have lower access to material things, is an indictment of a wicked, vile, godless world.
The Bible makes it very clear that the 'poor' as it uses the term are hated by their neighbours, hated by his "friends", and bullied by the so-called "rich" of the world. It is not the lack of absolute 'equality' to material things that indicts the world, but the manipulation, hatred and oppression of the poor.
The root of oppression is hate. Hate is murder in the eyes of God (1 John 3:15). Hatred does not necessarily manifest in outright abusive treatment, or even indifference although such are manifestations of hatred. Hatred is manifested as unrighteous anger against the object or objects of that hatred. There are two types of anger: unrighteous anger and righteous anger.
Righteous anger is one that is angry on the basis of being opposed to that which is wrong in the eyes of God. Righteous anger is perceived as hate by those who hate the truth because it opposes the very being of those who hate the truth. Proverbs 28:4 makes it clear that "They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend with them." This explains why the unsaved who hate the law of God and are immoral, unlike the other 'moral' unsaved people, think that the true Christian is hostile against them. In their own blindness, they think the true Christians seek to "impose" their views on them out of their own evil, wickedness and unrighteousness. It is only because they are suppress the truth by their own unrighteousness that they hate the righteous. Being hated for being righteous is the greatest honour the Christian can ever and should receive. It is a great honour to be hated by the world that should be treasured like wisdom.

Acting unrighteously or failing to do so it itself to praise the wicked. The diametrically opposite thing is to act righteously which itself it to content with the wicked. The Christian should make the unbeliever feel uncomfortable and incite hatred in the unbeliever of the Christian by one's very actions. If the Christian does not have their impact, it is questionable as to whether he is being righteous. Righteous anger is not only opposed to evil, but opposed with evil with hostility. The Church as such should be hostile against sins that are accepted by society, such as pornography, abortion, usury, and prostitution. It should be actively hostile against these things.
Such righteous anger is in contrast to unrighteous anger. Unlike righteous anger, unrighteous anger is selfish, angry because the person or the person who one cares for had been wronged, rather than because the act is wrong. It is angry only because one has been offended or offended for others.
Such is the thinking of the modern evangelicals who are offended just because you use blunt language which they cannot accept, and accuse you of being ungentle for doing so, while in lecturing you about this, are being ungentle and harsh themselves. This is precisely what one modern evangelical did. In lecturing me to be 'gentle' by not adding people to a mailing list or by using language in his preferred style, he was being ungentle, hateful and aggressive himself. What hypocrisy!
His facade of gentleness and graciousness is based on the fear of man, hence, he thinks that rules are needed to determine what manner one should speak in to be gentle, rather than the real manner of spirit in which one speaks. Rules regarding what one should say to be 'gentle' does not make one gentle. Rather, it is the manner of spirit that matters. He has been judging me for using Way of the Master and accuses me of being ungentle simply by using it, without knowing the manner of spirit in which one uses it. This has really caused me to stumble, and yet he once gave a speech about not causing a brother or sister to stumble.
Unrighteous anger is selfish and self-centred. It has a spirit of unrighteous hostility as opposed to righteous hostility towards the object of anger. Unrighteous hostility is always self-centred and keeps record of wrongs. It feeds on the lust of the flesh, whether it be for recognition or reputation, including as reputation to be a more outwardly gentle. Unrighteous anger need not be angry for earthly things. It can be very angry with respect to spiritual thing. Such unrighteous anger is itself hatred. Hatred is that which is self-centred and keeps record of wrongs. It is proud, boastful and seeks its own ways. It is the opposite of love (1 Corinthians 13:4-8).
He who has no love is a godless person, regardless of how "moral" he may be. He may be one who honours his parents, does not lie or steal, not sexually immoral and strongly opposed to all forms of sexual immorality. However, as long as he or she has no love, he is a godless person for "he who does not love does not know God for God is love" (1 John 4:8). Only by seeking after God can one truly love others with selfless love, that is, agape love. Since no one seeks after God by nature, one does not nor cannot love by the evil fleshly nature (Romans 3:11).
Since no one can love others selflessly in one's nature, this means that all people by nature either love selfishly, which is what many unbelievers do, or hate others, that is to have unrighteous hostility against others in one's heart. The fruit of hate in the human heart is one which produces impatience, unkindness, unforgiveness, bitterness by keeping record of wrongs, ungentleness, rejoices in lies, and cynicism against others, which is a selfish lack of trust in others, because of defensiveness.
All sins are stem from a lack of love, for to sin is to break the Law of God, as the Law of God is the Law of Love. This is because God is love (1 John 4:8). Hence, this is why the test for whether one is truly saved is whether one loves (1 John 3:15). This is a test that is not to be neglected, but is often neglected because it is all too easy to fall into a lack of love, especially when one has been hurt, and when one is blinded by bitterness that one thinks that hating those who has hurt one is justifiable. This is the most evil thing one can do. It is based on a lie that hate is justifiable in certain circumstances, and it is because this lie is so embraced by the world that there is so much evil. Every single evil is is of hatred for God and hatred for others. Hatred is literally the spirit behind all sins and evil deeds.
The oppression of the poor in the world are because of hatred. This is not perceived by many because the world can only hate others or love selfishly, and many in the modern church has a love that has grown cold like the church of Ephesus in Revelation 2. It laboured for Jesus Christ, but lacked love. No doubt, it is too easy to fall into a lack of love. That is why all people in the true body of Christ need to be exhorted to love. For if one has no love, not only all of what one has done is worthless, but that one is nothing:
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity [love], I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity [love], I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity [love], it profiteth me nothing (1 Corinthians 13:1-3).
The world oppresses the poor because it hates the poor. It is also that because the poor are oppressed, the world hates the poor. Such is the lust of the flesh which feeds on hatred in the heart of others. The pride of life produces hatred in the heart for pride loves to hate others as it loves to satisfy itself. This explains why the world hates the poor and thinks it justified to hate the poor. It hates the poor because it seeks to satisfy lust of the flesh and makes itself content, and thinks it is justified to hate the poor owing to its pride which seek to feed one's hatred of others.
The existence of the poor is an indictment of a fallen world. Mammon works through the world to hate the poor and think that hatred of the poor is justifiable.
Hatred of the poor is evil, and literally indicates that one is hostile against God. It is an abomination.
