The Sin of Omission in the Modern church

The modern church is guilty of the sin of omission. It passionately fights against human trafficking and sex slavery in particular. However, it is often silent about abortion and homosexual "marriage". Even the unsaved in the pro-life movement are louder than the modern church about abortion.
The world cannot be relied on to fight evil for it is evil. Evil fighting evil begets more evil. The world is fickle and its foundations are on the shifting sands of humanistic morality. Its ultimate aim is to make society "better", not fight evil for the evil that it truly is.

Less than 10 years ago, general society, including many secular people would condemn homosexuality on moral grounds. A person suspected of being homosexual would be gossiped about at school and hated by even the wicked "TC" students. Now, after much, propaganda from the media, academia and political arena, only the bravest and most courageous of souls would speak up against the morality of homosexuality.

Why does the modern church only selectively fight against sex slavery? It is because it seeks the approval of people. Sex slavery is loudly condemned by the world and condemning sex slavery is praised as a virtuous act by the world. However, the world does not condemn sex slavery because it offends God. By no means! Rather, it condemns it only because it is politically correct to do so - that is, approved by the majority because it panders to their wicked human thoughts.

The world hates sex slavery because it violates the world's ethic of licentiousness and sexual immorality. It violates the false ethic of consent - that only consent between two adults matters regarding sexual activities and sexual relations. It is not because sex slavery is immoral per se that it is against it.

Just as the Enlightenment philosophers who opposed to slavery, disapproved of slavery on the grounds of its negative consequences of society, the world is against sex slavery on the grounds of its negative consequences of society. Such is the hypocrisy of the world, which loves to condemn religious hypocrisy while yet redefining its own hypocrisy as something other than hypocrisy.

The modern church even thinks that prostitution, the facilitator of sex slavery, should not be abolished, but rather regulated. What can be more foolish than that! To regulate something means that the thing being regulated is legal. Thus, to support regulation is to support the thing being legal. If the government made paedophilia legal or rape legal, would you support regulation? No! Of course you wouldn't! You would seek its abolition. For those Christians who support regulation of prostitution, why then do you support regulation of prostitution if you are opposed to the very thing which feeds on prostitution and is legitimised by prostitution? It is not hypocrisy on your part to support regulation of prostitution, but yet abolition of murder (except in abortion), paedophilia and rape?

The inconsistency and hypocrisy of many in the church regarding evils of fight against is blatant. This is the result of pandering to the ways of the world and its thinking. Such is spiritual adultery. Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God (James 4:4). The spirit behind spiritual adultery of the church is mammon. Mammon is the spirit which tempts the church into earthliness including earthly thinking. Why would he not want to tempt the church, for only the true church can truly fight evil for it is the only one that is full of light that the world can see?

Mammon is not a "minor" issue. There is no such thing as a major or minor issue in the Bible. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works (2 Timothy 3:16-17). He tempts the church into earthliness which includes earthly, carnal thinking. This is evidenced in all its approach towards fighting evil, evangelism and exposing evil. These are all combined with earthly thinking, or approached from a purely earthly perspective. The church in doing so as adopted earthly, sensual demonic wisdom, that which has absolutely no place in the life of any true Christian. Mammon is behind it all.

Many Christians are scared of losing approval from the world, and therefore personal means of survival in the world, leading them to use earthly (evil) approaches to exposing and fighting works of darkness. This is the logical outworking of its succumbing to the spirit of mammon. Fear of losing one's means of earthly survival or protection from the world is not an excuse for using earthly carnal "methods" of fighting evil.

The church must renounce all its temptations to succumb to serving mammon to shine as salt and light. Judgement starts at the House of God. For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? (1 Peter 4:17).

Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers,
but whose delight is in the law of the Lord,
and who meditates on his law day and night.
That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither—
    whatever they do prospers.
Not so the wicked!
    They are like chaff
    that the wind blows away.
Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous,
but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.
(Psalm 1:1-6).

Signs of a Person under the spirit of mammon

Both the unsaved and saved can be under the spirit of mammon. Do not be deceived! An unsaved person can only serve mammon because it is not part of his nature to submit to God in any way (Romans 8:7). However, the Christian can most definitely yield to the temptations of mammon just as he can yield to the temptations of satan. This is what is means for a Christian to be under the spirit of mammon. The signs of a person being under the spirit of mammon are: The person does not understand the spirit of mammon. This is because he or she is blinded by it and therefore cannot see it. The person reacts whenever being confronted with being told that they are under the spirit of mammon, or being told that they may be under it. This is not the person themselves reacting, but the spirit of mammon reacting. The person is self-satisfied with the abundance that they have. This is especially the case with many Christians today. They are happy with having a family, a well-paying job, security

Two types of contentment

The world seeks contentment. It seeks to be contented in pursuit of all kinds of things, whether it be money, health, wealth, romance, sex, careers or family. It does not necessarily seek after riches to be content. However, that one does not seek after money as the first priority, but other things that are typically associated with good traditional values, such as family, does not in any way mean that one is content in the godly sense. By no means! A person can be a "conservative" and "religious" but just as earthly as the "liberal". There are two types of contentment: earthly contentment and godly contentment. Earthly contentment finds its fulfillment and satisfaction in things that are passing away, not necessarily money, but also things like family, education and children. Yes, that's right. Many professing American Christians think that they could never be under the spirit of mammon because they care for their families and love their families, a

The spirit behind Debt, the spirit of Mammon, seeks to Blind, Control, Enslave and Dominate by debt

Many people just cannot understand what usury is for what it is. Thus, in order for people to understand what exactly usury is, they must be made to understand debt first. Debt is not merely money to be repaid. It has power. Debt indeed is power, which comes from a source not from God: For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12).  One can discern that debt has a power behind it if one uses one's godly discernment. Debt brings spiritual bondage to a person, not merely financial bondage, but spiritual bondage. The real issue with debt for all people whether unsaved or saved is that it keeps people from fully serving God. It is a spiritual stronghold of mammon that panders to the flesh, to make a God-hater even more hostile against God, by feeding on his flesh to increase its appetite even more. It is also a spiritual stronghold
